14 Mile Run September 2, 2001 by Members of the Finest Sports Organization: Story & Photos by Ralph E. Smith

Rise and Shine!  That was the wake up call for the runners from New York City Department of Correction, New York Police Department, New York Fire Department, Westchester Police and various law enforcement and running organizations this morning at 220 Broadway!  The runners gathered September 2, 2001 at 6a.m. for the 7a.m. race.  Through out Manhattan, you could see and hear Ralph E. Smith's Sound Van cheering the runners on with music from the movie, "Rocky"

Many thanks to Mr. Curtis and Mr. Bottoms for another outstanding running program!

Ralph E. Smith from the Guardian Chronicle was in the van and on the running track from  start to finish to bring you back the following photos from the the event!(More photos next week from ) Click on photos for a larger view!
