News Release  Contact: Alicia Steger (516) 572-9634 Nassau Community College Cultural Program Presents  “Gangs on Long Island” Wednesday, March 13 Garden City, NY – The Nassau Community College Cultural Program is proud to present a panel discussion entitled “Gangs on Long Island.”  The event will take place on Wednesday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the College Center Building. The group assembled to discuss the prevalence of gangs on Long Island will include: NCC Criminal Justice Professor Dr. Ali al-Rahman, a former warden with the New York City Department of Corrections and a member of the New York City Gang Task Force; Suffolk County Detective Wes Daly, Jr., who is chair of the National Gang Investigators Association; Nassau County Detective Corey Alleyne, Special Investigations Unit; and Deputy Warden Emmanuel Bailey, Commanding Officer of the Gang Intelligence Unit of the New York City Department of Correction..  Admission to “Gangs on Long Island” is free and the public is invited.  For more information about the NCC Cultural Program, please call Phyllis Kurland at 516-572-7153.
