Norman Seabrook, President of the 11,000 member New York City Correction Officers' Benevolent Association, announced that his union is offering a 5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved inthe murder April 9 of Correction Officer Andrew organ. Officer Morgan was a seven years veteran of the force

Correction Officer Morgan , 35, assigned to the Rose M. Singer Center on Rikers Island, was shot six times Tuesday night while sitting in his parked car in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  He was off-duty.

"We urge the death penality in this horrible tragedy," Mr. Seabrook said. "We are deeply saddened by the  death of this well-liked and respected officer."

Officer Morgan's mother, Joyce Smith, an employee of Cantor Fitzgerald, was killed in the World Trade Center terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.  Officer Morgan is survived by his wife, who is seven months pregnant.
