Words to think about!

How Can I rise If I don't help my Brother or Sister

How can I do a Tour of Duty without God in my life

How can I call you Brother or Sister on Monday and lie about you on Wednesday.

How can I say "You're my Man, If I never ring your phone!

How can we come together, if we walk apart

Don't just show up at my funeral, be present for my life!

My name is Ralph E Smith.  Publisher of the Guardian Chronicle.  It gives me great pride to be a member of the New York City Correction Guardians Association.  The April 25 annual award dinner dance is an example of  the Correction Guardians  commitment to community and youth.

During this challenging time in New York City and in the world, the New York City Correction Guardians Association has worked to assist the community of New York and it's membership with support, programs, food, and fellowship.

The Guardian Chronicle salutes the award winners, and  all those who made tonight possible.  The presence of Jacqueline McMickens, ESQ, First Female Afro American Commissioner of the NYC Correction Department tells us that we can achieve if we believe in ourselves and those around us!

May God continue to direct the actions of the New York City Correction Guardians and provide the organization with the vision to empower it's members, and the community."  Taking the organization to the next level will require commitment to the now and future!  Frederick Douglass said it best" If there is no struggle, there is no progress."

Sincerely'

Ralph E Smith
