(2/7/04) City Awards $100.000 To Correction Officer's Family: A former correction officer and his family will be awarded $100,000 in settlement with the city over a mistaken police raid on their Bronx apartment in 1992. The lawsuit was brough by Edward Garrison. The apartment was raided by officers acting on tip from an informant that a man with dogs was selling drugs from the apartment.

On July 3, 2003 at 2:00pm members of the Guardians Association, N.Y.P.D will hold a Press Conference in front of 2137 Belmont Ave, Bronx New York. This is the location where Denise Billups and Ronnie Gibbs were savagely attacked by suspects unknown.
In
addition to Vice-President Swinton, Charles Billups of The Grand
Council of Guardians, Norman Siegel, elected officials and others
will call on Tremont Residents to come forward with
information leading to the capture and conviction of the
person/persons responsible for the death of Ronnie
Gibbs and Denise Billups.
Members of the Guardians Association (All Branches) will then canvas the area going door to door, corner to corner, handing out posters and tip cards asking members of the community to come forward with information and to call 1 (800) 577-TIPS or the 48th Precinct detective squad at 1 (718) 299-4119.
