The 1st Black Female Lt. in the NYC Fire Department was promoted in January 2002! |
Walking with Kings and Queens! That's how I felt upon entering the facility and seeing so many powerful Black people on the walls. Correction Officer Richards escorted me to the visit area and again I felt the power of our story in the air, on the walls and from the Correction Staff. This program was an outstanding combination of the leadership and vision of the entire staff. The following photos taken by Ralph E. Smith not only make you think about the past, but also inspire the viewer to continue to reach for your goals in life!
