Citing Governor Pataki's leadership and commitment to keeping New Yorkers safe, the New York City Correction Officers' Benevolent Association (COBA) today annnounced its official endorsement of the crime fighting Governor. The endorsement announcement, which took place at the Friends of Pataki offices in Manhattan, is the lastest in a litany of endorsements for the Republican Governor. Already unions representing more than a quarter of a million workers have endorsed Governor Pataki's strong record of leadership and accomplishments for New York's working families. According to COBA President Norman Seabrook, "Our State's Chief Executive has shown for the past eight years that he will not tolerate murder, violent felonies, domestic violence, drugs in our communities, or absolutely any form of child abuse.
