TRIBUTE TO MY BROTHER KENNETH M. ROANE

Dear Friends,
By now most of you know that I lost my brother on Friday, and I just wanted to take a moment to tell you a little something about him if you don't mind..and yes I am writing this with tears in my eyes.
My brother was a good person and always tried to see the good in people regardless of what others may have thought..He wasn't rich or well educated..In fact he was never really concerned about material things..He always felt that"God would make a way"..He would have cook-outs in front of his home and would give any child or anyone something to eat. He loved his children and his grandkids..But the one person he loved unconditionally was his wife..LYDIA..They had a love for one another you only read about..he always referred to her as his bride..even after nearly 30 years of marriage..They would still walk down the streets holding hands like teen-agers.

Of course they had the same disagreements like other couples..but he NEVER laid a hand on her.He always felt that a true man should have no desire to hit the woman in his life(or any woman)..His love for her only strengthened over the years..When he got sick she was at his side and even slept on a cot next to him..
In these days when relationship only last a night or few weeks..it always amaze me when I hear couples who are married 10,20,30 years or more.

My brother was my friend and a big part of my life..and as the tears stream down my face..I try to think of the good times we had..and that bring me peace.Tomorrow I must make that lonely drive to Providence,Rhode Island to put my brother to rest..I will try very hard to keep my composure..But I know it won't work..But I will keep him in my memories and in my heart forever.

My family and I want to thank all of you for the cards, phone calls, text message and emails..
