New York, August 12, 2008--- District Leaders Olanike Alabi and William Saunders, from the 57th Assembly District in Brooklyn, in conjunction with Mount Sinai Baptist Church, have today announced that Mount Sinai will host the first ever interfaith prayer service on behalf of Democratic Nominee for President, Senator Barack Obama on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 6:30 PM. Featured speakers will include many local prominent Obama supporters including the first labor leader in the United States outside of Illinois to endorse Senator Obama, Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association President Norman Seabrook. The event will also feature elected officials, clergy, labor and community leaders who will convey the significance of electing Barack Obama the next President of the United States of America. Also, clergy from various faith organizations will render prayers for Obama, his family along with the most vital issues he will be confronted with assuming he's elected the next president.
