STEPS BEFORE RETIRING FROM NYCD
REAL TALK FROM REAL PEOPLE
By Crystal Walker Shaw NYCD Correction Officer
July 31, 2010 Saturday
First , give God The Glory towards Retirement. My name is Crystal Walker Shaw. I've been assigned to various commands. I have a total of 26 years with the New York City Department of Correction.
Through out my career, I've learned to have patience and always be professional. Team work is most important. Get to know your partners. Don't let anyone push you out the door for retirement.
Put your business in order. Take a look at all your options and talk to professional staff from NYDC. Talk to people who have retired and ask questions.
Research and asking questions is my best advise.
We also need to help our upcoming Blue Shirts: Brother and Sister Correction Officers. May God continue to keep you Blessed and keep you Safe. That's my story. |
