RETIREMENT:
Making Connections- Life After Working for New York City
Brother Ralph:
Just a short note to say hello to you and the Correction Guardian family. As you know I relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in August of 2007. I am enjoying the South, decorating my new home and still traveling to the Caribbean. I will be in St. Marteen for Mother’s Day. I also formed a Card Club and we play Bidwhist & Spades the 3rd Saturday of each month- we currently have 42 members in The Raleigh Triangle Card Sharks Club.
From time to time I log onto the Guardian Chronicle to keep up with the goings on with NYDOC. All God’s Blessings go out to the organization and recent retirees… Assistant Chief Wayne LaMont, Deputy Warden Richard Monroe, Correction Officer Daphne Glover-Robinson. In addition, I would like to congratulate Warden Emmanuel H. Bailey as a Merit Awardee of The Federation of African-American Civil Service Organization for 2008.
Ralph keep up the excellent work that you do! And if you are ever in NC look me up!
Grace & Peace
