All across New York City, their was hope that Police Officer Dillon Stewart would live, but as he continued to chase a speeding car, he was mortally wounded and never gave up.

Early yesterday morning, he and his partner working out of the 70th Precinct's Conditions Unit spotted a car speed through a red light.  Upon chasing the car, shot were fired and Police Officer Stewart was mortally wounded but kept on chasing the car.

He five years on the job and was a great neighbor. Always friendly.  He leaves behind: Wife Les-Lynn, two daughters Alexis 6, and Samantha 5 months.

Allan Cameron, 27 is charged with first  degree murder in the killing of police officer Stewart and attempted murder of Police Officer Wiener Philippe, age 26
