"I, Joseph Q. Carbone, President of the Columbia Association would like to introduce an idea to your fraternal organization that may be of your group's interest.  As fraternal organization, we all follow our by-laws that may include phrases such as "promoting good fellowship and understanding amongst its members and aid and support charitable, fraternal, and educational activities and groups.

Public contributions are the primary source of funds for the St. Jude Childrens Research hospital. During the past five years almost 85% of every dollar received has gone to the needs of St. Jude.  They treat all children without regard to race, religion, creed, or ablity to pay."

The NYCD Columbia Association has a great idea and with the help of all fraternal organizations in the New York City Department of Correction, hundreds of children can be helped.
