Ralph,
I'm glad to see you cover the passing of Lenny Holmes in a positive and dignified way; a way which I have come to expect of you because you always represented yourself as a class act.
Lenny Holmes was a very good man to many of us at NYCD. As recruits, as fellow Correction Officers, and as co-workers at the Correction Academy, he always looked out for us in a big brotherly kind of way.
I will miss seeing into him on Conduit Blvd on his horse; and will always remember how he tried to guide us during our careers. I will miss his laugh and his stories. The lives of Correction personnel that Lenny has touched reads like a Who's Who of NYCD.
My sincere condolences to his family.
May he rest in peace.

PS: Keep up the good work, Ralph. Proud of you! |
